Righto I haven't been to Ray's for a while, didn't realise there were new owners. 1. Flake was good. 2. Chips were like cardboard. 3. Gravy wasn't to bad,bit salty. 4. Huge burger but no flavour. 5 souvalaki average 6 schnitzel burger over cooked but not to bad in flavour 7. Banana fritters. Well how do we explain them..doey, chips flavour and gross Banana. Think we called them once dissected,sea creatures. 8. Cardboard potato cakes. And then we come to the price.$134 .that did include drinks and scallops (which apparently were ok) Don't recon I'll go back..

Quick service on a Friday evening. Found all items a little overcooked. Will ask for them not to be cooked so much in future.

24 minute wait for just 3 little potato cakes after being told 10 - 15 mins. The potato cakes must of been cooking for the whole 24 minutes because they were so overcooked & disgusting 🤢 If you threw them at a window, the glass would break. Charging premium price of $1.60 per cake is outrageous when they can't even cook them right. Like many other reviews, this was my first time stopping by since the new owners took over (Rays used to be my favourite fish & chip shop) and as others have said, I won't be back.

Sorry, but new owners are terrible. Twice now I’ve got my fish n chips under the new management, twice been told, 20-25 minute wait, which is fine, but twice I’ve waited 50-55 minutes and the food isn’t as good. Not even a sorry for the wait…. NOTHING

I haven’t been here since the new owners took over and I won’t be coming back. Terrible quality, everything taste the same, there was just no flavour to anything. Incredibly high prices for fish and chips, everything was over cooked yet the potato cakes were barely cooked. I don’t know how one gets a potato cake so wrong when the last owners had them so right
